July 8-10 MI Canada Youth Retreat at Mount Alverno 2005

Testimony One
The Militia of the Immaculata retreat was something that will never be forgotten. Through the retreat I discovered the power of prayer and the happiness, clarity, and bliss that results from prayer. The significance of the eucharist was revealed, as well as my dire need to be united with Him. The main thing that I came to realize is that prayer works. For the longest time I knew intellectually that the Catholic Church bears the fullest truth and the true way to salvation but I never saw the meaning or point to prayer. During the retreat we were told to ask Mary for her graces through prayer so in response I asked for those graces to be placed upon me, and whats remarkable is that She delivered. Mary blessed me with her graces the second I asked her for them. Prayer provides what we need and I guess thats the most significant piece of wisdom I discovered through the Militia of the Immaculata. PRAY.
