4th Annual Conference of the Militia of the Immaculata
The 4th Annual Militia of the Immaculata (MI) Conference which took place on June 18th at the St. Augustine Seminary was again a success this year. A change in the day’s agenda had Fr. Stephen McKinley, Rector of the Shrine of St. Maximilian Kolbe, speaking for the entire day. Fr. Stephen led us in a very exciting, interesting and educational trip through the history of the Mass and the proposed changes that will take place in the Mass beginning in Advent of this year. He has promised to return next year, and if possible, continue his session on the Liturgy. This information was received with great enthusiasm by the attendees.
After the Homily of the Mass which was given by Msgr. Nusca, Rector of the Seminary, 8 persons made a total consecration to the Immaculata. The consecration ceremony was performed by Fr. Patrick Greenough, International President of North America, who spoke to those being consecrated, reminding them of the true meaning of being consecrated to the Blessed Mother.
Conference ended at 3p.m., with most of the attendees being sorry to see it end, but state that they were looking forward to next year’s conference."
This year’s Conference was recorded and for those who would like to have a recording as a memento and a reminder of Fr. Stephen’s talk, a CD may be obtained by contacting Vince Kirton: (416) 492-9593 or by email: vkirton@sympatico.ca |
